• The material

  Let's start with the basics. Cotton is the most popular choice for bath towels because it's soft, absorbent, and durable. Bamboo cotton fabric is also another option, known for its great absorbency and anti-bacterial properties, and Egyptian cotton towelling is also considered a luxury. Egyptian cotton fibres are stronger and more durable than regular cotton fibres. 

• Size

  When it comes to bath towels, there is a standard size that typically nears the 71cm x 140cm range, though this can vary by a few cm from brand to brand. You can also purchase bath sheets, which are less well-known but essentially a larger version of the standard bath towel. Bath sheets usually sit around 90cm x 165cm in size, though this can also vary between brands.

• Colour or pattern

  Bath towels are available in a wide range of colours and patterns. You can choose a solid colour or go for something more playful with a printed design. There are also options with the traditional banding along one side or other options that are hemmed with fringes. When it comes to choosing the perfect bath towel, it's about finding the right balance of style and function.
